My dating advice to you when it comes to the first date is to relax! The first date is intended to be enjoyable, so unbutton the top two buttons from your shirt, loosen up your belt a little, and breathe. Cancel the dinner reservations, skip the movies, and just take it easy.
Like they preach in real estate: Location, Location, Location! The first date should always be used to enjoy someone and if you take my advice, no matter who you’re with, you’ll always enjoy your first date, whether or not there is an attraction. Since comfort is the key to an enjoyable date, do whatever it takes to bring endless feelings of joy and laughter. But in order to comfort someone, you yourself, should be comfortable. I’ll quote Gail Laguna when she said, ” It’s great to meet another person in a relaxed environment like this, where it’s not like a typical first date or blind date. When you’re sharing experiences and adventures or common interests, there’s less pressure on you.” Where you go plays a major role on that occurring or not.
Now I know you don’t expect me to tell you where to take someone on the first date do you? I mean, that’s what the initial phone conversations were for wasn’t it? By learning just the basics about someone, you should be able to create a comfortable environment that you both can enjoy. As Gail Laguna previously mentioned, stop treating the first date like the first date, but instead, treat it as if it were your fourth or fifth.
Wherever you chose to go on the first date, just make sure it’s somewhere two people can communicate easily. I don’t think the bar and club scenes work too much. Once the interaction is lost, the first date will then become your last date. Choose activities instead of formalities. Take every moment to get to know your first date. The worst you can do is separate as strangers. In conclusion, treat your first date as a craft, not a task and with that, you’ll be more likely to have a memorable first date.

There’s a Book… I’ve forgotten the name… Help!
I read a book fairly recently (I guess my memory isn’t to be counted on when it comes to books). I can’t remember what it was called! Argh! Can someone help me please I kinda have a feeling that it’s a Chuck Palahniuk book. I may be wrong.
It was about a woman who grew up in a trailer park. She was always a talented artist but she never put her talents to good use. One day she met this eclectic sort of guy at college. He won her over and they decided to elope. They moved to a quiet island (which I remember she described to be the shape of a fish skeleton). She got pregnant but soon after her daughter was born her husband supposedly committed suicide and his body was found in the family car.
As her dreams of becoming an artist faded with the birth of her daughter the woman became a simple waitress in the town that had recently turned into a tourist trap. Her daughter is cared for by her husband’s mother. She begins exhibiting depressed-like behavior. When she enters these moments of depression her artistic ability suddenly shows itself and she paints incredible works of art.
I won’t give away the end in case any of you are interested (and anyone gets me the title).
If you think you’ve got it but need to know the ending to make a final guess I’d be pleased to send you the ending.
Thank you!!

Random Thought of the Day
The strategy with the husband mentally leaving a conversation and start to seek an issue option indicates the 2nd part of your male-female dynamic – the problem-solving system. Males are process oriented – they need to solve problems. Oftentimes gals are explaining the day’s events and also the person drifts away inside a remedy mode fairly than continuing to pay attention.
